I for one fully believe this because before I married my man, I had literally impressed him with my culinary abilities. I secretly believe that one of the reasons why he married me (apart from various other impressive traits about me!) could be the fact that I was a good cook and he is a true foodie. It is not just that, he has a number of loyal friends and each and every one of them happens to be real food lovers, and some times it becomes a horrendous task for me appeasing all of them if they happen to drop in for breakfast or lunch during the weekends. Can you consider some people who come over to eat breakfast, usually stay and eat lunch also! It so happened that once one of his friends happened to visit us on official duty from a distant city. The promise was kept to my husband, and the decision to stay with us rather than in the company guest house was honored. During his stay we happened to go out for dinner on two or three occasions. Every time we went out and placed order for dinner, this gentleman would order for some chicken item. Once it was <a href="http://welovechicken.com/tag/chicken-rice-recipe/">a chicken rice recipe</a>, which would catch his fancy. Next it would be chicken dipped in this and chicken dipped in that, etc. or even ordinary chicken curry (I can&#8217;t keep track of all the names, and I&#8217;m a vegetarian). Simply choose your food before you eat. When you have chicken, cut down on other items and balance your calories.</p>

<p> Easy CLAM CHOWDER SOUP</p>

<p> If you are not worried about weight loss, don&#8217;t worry, there is more to chicken than <a title="diet recipes" href="http://www.recipe-ideas.co.uk/diet-recipes.htm">diet recipes</a>. All the same, most chicken recipes will be, by and large, healthier than equivalent recipes made with other meat, such as pork or lamb.</p>
<p> Here is a great recipe that will satisfy your family and friends.</p>
<p> It requires:</p>
<p> One chicken (approximately 3.5 lb)<br /> Two C. of apple cider<br /> 6 Fresh Apples (peeled and quartered)<br /> salt (as needed)<br /> pepper (as needed)<br /> 1 tsp. cornstarch<br /> 1/2 cup light whipping cream<br /> One tablespoonful of freshly squeezed lemon juice<br /> 1/3 cup of butter<br /> 2 tablespoons of olive oil<br /> 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (not obligatory)<br /> 4 scallion onions, (chopped fine)<br /> Two whole cloves<br /> 1/4 teaspoonful ground ginger<br /> 1 sprig of parsley, (finely chopped, for decoration)<br /> 1/2 tsp. dried thyme<br /> Two teaspoons of cane sugar</p>
<p> Description:</p>
<p> Clean the Organic Chicken and dry it well.<br /> Mix a little pepper and salt and rub it into the chicken (both inside and out)<br /> Drizzle the lemon juiice over the apple.</p>
<p> Melt half the butter in a skillet then add the oil.<br /> Add half of the apples to the pan and cook slowly for five min. until browned slightly<br /> Mix in the ginger and give it a few stirs, cooking a little longer to enable the ginger to develop it&#8217;s flavours.<br /> Stuff the apple mixture into the chicken and close-up the chicken by tying or using a wooden or metal skewer.</p>
<p> Add the rest of the butter to the pan and heat until it melts and then add the chicken to the skillet and gently brown it, browning it all over.<br /> Put the organic chicken into a casserole pot with a good lid.<br /> Take the remaining apples, the spring onions, ground cinnamon, dried thyme, sugar and cloves and put them in the skillet.</p>
<p> Fry gently for 2-3 minutes then add the traditional cyder and increase the heat to start the mixture boiling.</p>
<p> Once the cider is at boiling point, add it to the casserole and replace the lid, using foil or wax paper to ensuer a good tight seal.</p>
<p> Put the pot in the oven and cook for about 45 minutes at 200 Centigrade</p>
<p> When the time is up, transfer it to a warmed plate to keep warm whilst the gracy/sauce is prepared.</p>
<p> If there is any fat in the pot, skim it off and then boil the juices down until there is approx one cup remaining.</p>
<p> Pour in the whipping cream and cornstarch, mixing well until it is nice and thick.<br /> Add salt and pepper to taste, and pour the sauce over the organic chicken</p>
<p> Sprinkle the parsley garnish over and serve.</p>
<p> If you are entertaining guests, you could add side servings of cauliflower or grilled mushrooms and new potatoes.</p>
